We make the difference together. We are looking for a dynamic Early Childhood Educator (E.C.E.) to team teach with the other educators in our programs. Work location 510 1070 Lynn Valley Road North Vancouver BC V7J 1Z8Position Title Early Childhood Educator (E.C.E.)Terms of Employment Full-time PermanentEstimated Starting Date As Soon As PossiblePosition Available 1Wage 20.10 - 21.10 per hour (Depending on Working Experience)Work Hours 40 hours per weekBenefit 4% vacation pay Group insurance benefits Eligible for an additional 4.00 per hour as part of British Columbia s Early Childhood Educator Wage Enhancement Responsibility Implement the Reggio Approach to Teaching to support and promote the physical cognitive emotional and social development of children Lead specialty programs such as gardening baking and music in order to encourage children to express their creativity through the media of art dramatic play music and physical activity Assist and coach children on proper eating dressing and bathroom habits Observe children s learning and behavioural progress and report to parents and guardians on any areas of concerns Assess the abilities and interests of each child and discuss ways to promote the child s personal growth with parents and other staff members Maintain collaborative relationships with the team and provide a positive environment for co-teaching and nurturing children together Maintain the classrooms and ensure the health security and well-being of the children Prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture ensuring the space is clean and inviting to promote a healthy learning environment Discuss with the team on ways to improve the children s learning progress and growth at staff meetings. Qualification Completion of a two-to four-year college program in Early Childhood Education or a Bachelor s Degree in Child Development is required BC Early Childhood Educator (ECE) Certificate and First Aid Certificate are required Criminal Record Check is required Previous work experience as an Early Childhood Education worker would be a good asset but not a mandatory requirement Must be organized and have excellent written and oral communication skills Able to work collaboratively with the team and provide to a positive co-teaching environment.
