RESPONSIBILITIES Support the recruitment hiring process for regular part-time and full-time openings by posting positions creating interview questions conducting phone screens scheduling interviews completing references and background checks and preparing new hire binders and additional items for onboarding. Responsible for overall recruitment hiring and onboarding process for internship positions. Maintain HR recruitment records and employee files. Coordinate employee professional development and training events. Compile and print monthly reports for department heads. Update and maintain organizational chart. Ensure workplace compliance with labor standards by maintaining DOL labor law postings at all locations. Assist with employee birthday and service anniversary programs. Provide general human resources support. Participate in department meetings. Perform other duties and projects as assigned. GENERAL Participate in and assist with daily tasks of Kids Food Basket. Full-time hourly non-exempt position. SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS High school diploma or GED required. One to two years of human resources experience required. Strong ability in using MS Office (Outlook Word Excel and Teams). Experience with HRIS systems. Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills. Good time management skills. Organized with the ability to work in a fast-paced ever-changing work environment. Can work independently as well as collaboratively. Have a personal vehicle for transportation to and from regional locations as needed. Have a basic understanding of hunger and poverty issues in West Michigan. PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES Physical requirements include a typical office environment with periods of sitting at a computer screen and being able to lift up to 25 lbs. Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization s facilities. Ability to perform repetitive tasks with wrists hands and fingers. Must be able to hear and communicate. Ability to climb balance stoop kneel crouch and reach. The job entails duties off-site including local travel exposure to heat cold inclement weather conditions and standing for periods of time.
