Shift Timing - All Available Responsibilities Direct the organizations ongoing operations and activities toward the accomplishment of organizational goals while managing the costs. Define and recommend goals develop specific short and long-range plans and programs together with supporting budget targets. Lead and inspire a team of Supervisors Dispatchers Administration Dock and Drivers to achieve company targets. Direct the planning development and implementation of necessary policies and procedures. Support the existing sales team to bring on profitable business. Third-party Partner Management EH& S Management and compliance to Corporate Standards. Look to enhance or modify existing operational processes to improve efficiencies. Provide KPI metrics and reporting in an accurate and timely manner. Provide communication to sales and other functional departments in a timely manner. Develop implement and monitor quality control standards and procedures consistent with the organizations goals to exceed service targets. Direct the preparation of specifications for purchase of supplies and materials as to quality quantity delivery and service required. Mentors coaches and develops his her team for success. Ensures that employee training needs are identified and appropriate training provided. Develop and recommend plans for facility improvements. Promotes employee engagement meetings. Compliant to General Freight Agreement. . Qualifications College or University Degree with more than 10 years of transportation and management experience. LTL experience an asset. Ability to influence others through the employment of sound judgment able to build a consensus and influence change and sustain accountability. Strong team orientation with a proven record of building team relationships with staff clients and stakeholders. Demonstrates ability to adapt well to change. Excellent practical approach to problem solving and issue resolution with a focus on improving the business ensuring adhere to policies recommending policy changes where appropriate. A strong record of customer service with a mindset of assisting customers in revolving problems and finding solutions including experience providing workable and understandable recommendations to management.
