Line Operator Shop Math Observation Follow SOP s - Akron OH - JOB 21-00703Pay Range 18.00 - 22.00 HR 90 Days Contract to Hire A manufacturer of a variety of plastics & rubber products including belting sheeting and molded parts is seeking to hire a Line Operator. Candidates must be very dependable and show up to work every day be mechanically inclined and become part of the team. 1st Shift 7 30 AM to 4 30 PM Monday - FridayREQUIREMENTSHigh school diploma or GED required. Prefer candidates that are mechanically inclined and have previously worked in a rubber and or plastics manufacturing environment. Candidates must have good visual observation skills. Must pay very close attention to the part or product being manufactured. Good common sense to make judgment calls regarding parts products. Able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Ability to read and follow SOP s and Work Instructions. Ability to use shop math and use various calipers and other hand-held measuring tools. PC Literate Able to use a computer Fluent in Windows environment. RESPONSIBILITIESPerform timely setups while adhering to close tolerances. Maintaining line speeds while generating minimal scrap. Secure all tooling and downstream equipment prior to upcoming runs. Read and interpret routine blueprints. Perform timely setups while adhering to close tolerances. Maintain Cleanliness and organization in the tool room. Use all tools and equipment provided by the company in a safe and respectful manner. PHYSICAL DEMANDSMust be able to Frequently lift up to 11 - 50 lbs. Continuously lift 10 lbs. Continuously stands through 8-hour shift. Frequently bends twists & turns reach lower than knee push and pull squat and kneel. Candidates are required to pass a Criminal Background Check and a 10 Panel Drug Screen.Only U.S. Citizens or persons with a Green Card work permit may apply.
