The PeopleReady located at Hamilton Ontario L8E 2X3 is currently hiring a General Labour Job Description We are currently looking for high energy individuals for General Labour positions in a busy textile manufacturing plant. All shifts are available and shift premiums available for afternoon or night workers. This is a great opportunity to get your foot in the door and have full-time hours. Note - Pay Rate for this Job is 16 Hour Shift Timing -All Available Responsibilities Include Lift carry push and pull materials up to 50 lbs Perform cycle counts sort organize and pack materials that may weigh up to 50 lbs Cut materials with scissors or machinery Assemble textiles by hand or with the assistance of a machine Perform quality checks and inspect parts for defects according to our quality standards Operate simple press machines and automatic sewing machines May perform introductory level sewing operations including threading the machine and sewing products in a sitting or standing position Follow all operating procedures supervisor instructions and safety rules Qualifications Able to work in a fast-paced environment and multi-task Use and understand basic measurements Demonstrates strong attention to detail Able to remember different operations A strong work ethic with excellent attendance and attitude
