De acuerdo con Miranda, ?una gran proporción de los compromisos para reducir emisiones GEI en Latinoamérica y el Caribe dependen de asistencia y financiamiento internacional, por lo que el cumplimiento de dichas obligaciones dependerá en gran medida de las naciones del G-7 y del sector privado?. El futuro de este financiamiento sigue pendiente aún terminanda la COP-26.
