The ChallengeWe are looking for a skilled mechanic to join our Division 10 Equipment Shop team to do skilled mechanical work. In this role you will service diagnose repair rebuild mechanical systems for gas- and diesel--powered automotive and heavy equipment. In this role you will Perform preventative maintenance and skilled mechanic work on Systems Brakes Steering Tires and tubes Wheels rims and hubs Transmissions (Auto) Charging and cranking systems Ignition systems Lighting systems Cooling systems Exhaust systems Fuel systems Power units Hydraulics Air conditioning Instruments & gauges Air intake systems Use diagnostic equipment to assess problems. Prepare paperwork for equipment repairs. Move parts and material to repair and maintain equipment. What You BringExperience performing preventive maintenance on light medium heavy duty trucks or heavy equipment. Diagnostic experience with basic electrical systems and proper wiring repairs. Basic hydraulic system repair experience including component replacement and hoses. Experience in safety policies and procedures related to shop functions including basic knowledge of OSHA requirements. Troubleshooting and repair experience with at least one of these light medium or heavy duty trucks or heavy equipment. Knowledge of diagnostic software tools and equipment for trucks and heavy equipment. Ability to repair and maintain automotive and heavy equipment. Excellent ability to understand written and verbal instructions. Ability to read schematics diagrams and sketches. Physical strength to move relatively heavy objects. Ability to read maps and to identify components (engine air compressor differential and etc.). Skills to safely operate equipment for testing purposes. Able to work indoor and outdoor environment. Note You will be required to furnish a complete set of mechanic tools. You must possess a valid commercial driver s license - Class A with N endorsement within 60 days of hire. A pre-employment drug test is required. We will do a background check with previous employers for the past 2 years about controlled substances and alcohol. Steel-toed Safety Shoes are required.
