The ChallengeWe re looking for a professional Real Property consultant to join our statewide Right of Way team. In this role you willDevelop and administer NCDOT policies for using private firms to perform Real Property acquisition functions. Coordinate the statewide solicitation of firms interested in performing Real Property acquisition services for NCDOT selection of pre-qualified firms preparation of contract documents and project specific services and selection of projects for which consultative services are appropriate. Prepare and distribute requests for project proposals submitted by contract firms for specified project services and award notifications. Review and process partial and final contractor invoices for payment. Maintain records of all matters related to consultants use. What You BringKnowledge of NCDOT Right of Way programs policies and procedures. Competent plan reader of preconstruction highway drawings. Knowledge of the NC General Statutes and NC highway laws. Experience effectively coordinating planning of Right of Way acquisition work with private firms for use in the long-term goals of staff and consultants. Experience administering contracts and processing contract payments. Education & ExperienceBachelor s degree in Business Economics Real Estate or a related field (e.g. Civil Structural Engineering) and 4 years experience in Right of Way or Real Estate Appraisal work or High School GED diploma and 8 years experience in Right of Way or Real Estate Appraisal work (including 4 years in Right of Way work) or An equivalent combination of training and experience.
