HL7 Interface Business Analyst Level IILocation Washington DC Rockville MD areaPls. apply online at www.potawatomitr.com careersEmployment Status Full Time RegularFLSA Classification ExemptPosition Summary Potawatomi Training LLC is seeking a qualified candidate with three (3) plus years experience as a HL7 Interface Business Analyst Level II in support of our efforts within the Indian Health Service.The Senior Healthcare Informatics Management (HIM) Health Level 7 Consultant provides expert oversight in the areas of Healthcare Integration Standards Standards Implementation Data Integration Systems Integration Data Modeling and Data Warehousing. The Senior HIM consultant additionally performs high-level analytical duties and serves as a liaison advisor between the architecture and analysis team and standards bodies such as HL7. Provides expert oversight in the areas of Healthcare Integration Standards Standards Implementation Data Integration Systems Integration Data Modeling and Data Warehousing. Additionally performs high level analytical duties and serves as a liaison advisor between the architecture and analysis team and standards bodies such as HL7. Provide site onboarding services to additional I T U facilities that choose to participate in the COVID 19 Vaccine Reporting Program and COVID 19 Laboratory Test Result Reporting Program. Provide COVID 19 vaccine lot tracking support to maintain an accurate list of distributed vaccines to support data validation. This position also provides leadership and training in the area of health standards. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Ensemble productions using HL7 and electronic laboratory reporting standards. require collaboration (internal and external partnerships) as well as new and innovative approaches to healthcare and healthcare delivery. Work with end users and project teams Assist with maintenance integration infrastructure including routine support upgrades problem diagnosis and performance tuning. Generate standard or custom reports summarizing business financial or economic data for review by executives managers clients and other stakeholders. Synthesize current business intelligence or trend data to support recommendations for action. Maintain library of model documents templates or other reusable knowledge assets. Create business intelligence tools or systems including design of related databases spreadsheets or outputs. Manage timely flow of business intelligence information to users. Collect business intelligence data from available industry reports public information field reports or purchased sources. Analyze competitive market strategies through analysis of related product market or share trends. Maintain or update business intelligence tools databases dashboards systems or methods. Identify or monitor current and potential customers using business intelligence tools. Disseminate information regarding tools reports or metadata enhancements. Provide technical support for existing reports dashboards or other tools. Identify and analyze industry or geographic trends with business strategy implications. Communicate with customers competitors suppliers professional organizations or others to stay abreast of industry or business trends. Create or review technical design documentation to ensure the accurate development of reporting solutions. Analyze technology trends to identify markets for future product development or to improve sales of existing products. Conduct or coordinate tests to ensure that intelligence is consistent with defined needs. Common Task Requirements Operate office equipment such as fax machines copiers phone systems and use computers for spreadsheets word processing database management electronic mail and other applications. Prepare reports memos letters forms briefings emails and other documents using Microsoft Office Word Excel and PowerPoint software. Make changes to Word documents modify Excel spreadsheets and PowerPoint presentations to enhance their effectiveness or to repair correct minor errors. Compose type and distribute notes routine correspondence and reports in the format established by their assigned organization. Prepare official document in formats specified. Accomplish any training necessary to execute tasks. Provide customer service as needed and respond to information requests. REQUIREMENTS Master s degree preferred. Bachelor s degree in computer science information technology or business with HL7 FHIR certification Three (3) plus years experience as a HL7 Interface Business Analyst Level II Informatics certification preferred. Experience within the health care environment Familiar with HIPPA and COVID 19 initiatives Ability to work with multiple health care organizations and diverse groups of people. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Excellent interpersonal skills and teamwork are essential. Ensure that patient health information such as medial history treatments and test results are integrated accessible accurate and secure. Education of staff on process procedures standards Experience with various medical software Familiar with statistical programming Other Requirements Must be physically able to perform all the technical duties. Must be able to adapt under a highly stressful multi-task environment for extend periods of time up to 8 hours. If prior service must have received an honorable discharge.
