Division 2 Contracting Ltd.is looking for full time Excavation Workers. Division 2 Contracting is an established and growing demolition excavation concrete cutting and abatement contractor with jobsites throughout Metro Vancouver BC located in Surrey BC V3V 4G4 5 Positions available. Main duties are as follows but not limited to Excavation Workers perform the following tasks Load and unload construction materials and move materials to work areas Erect and dismantle scaffolding ramps catwalks shoring and barricades required at construction sites Assist heavy equipment operators to secure special attachments to equipment signal operators to guide them in moving equipment and provide assistance in other activities Assist in excavating and in setting up and operating various drills and other machinery Assist in demolishing buildings using prying bars and other tools and sort clean and pile salvaged materials Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites using rakes shovels wheelbarrows and other equipment Operate pneumatic hammers vibrators and tampers as directed Clean up contaminants and remove asbestos and other hazardous materials Oil and grease hoists and similar equipment Direct traffic at or near construction sites Perform other activities at construction sites as directed. Mandatory Experience EducationNo formal education required Minimum 2 years commercial construction experience English language required Successful candidates may be responsible for training and supervising employees. Hours of work are normally 8 hours day 5 days a week. Occasional afternoon night and weekend shifts may be required. Pay is 28 hour.Only those candidates selected for interviews will be contacted.
