Design Engineer - Broadview Hts Ohio - JOB 21-00676Salary Range 63K - 70K Permanent Position with Benefits. A Broadview Hts. Area Manufacturing Company is seeking to hire a Design Engineer. The Design Engineer s key responsibility is to create and update 3D models and drawings to meet customer specifications (component drawings design standards and internal assembly and customer approval drawings) and produce bills of materials using the company s ERP system.REQUIREMENTS Associates Degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology required Bachelor s Degree in Engineering preferred 2 - 5 years working experience Must have 3D CAD software experience (SolidWorks preferred) Must have an understanding and ability to update and modify post generators and databases associated with CAD software. Must have a thorough understanding of the creation of detail drawings to fully convey form fit function along with most efficient manufacturability. Knowledge of engineering design practices principles (interference checks fits tolerance stack-up dimensional analysis GD& T) Must have strong communication skills (Written & Verbal) Must be able to interact with both internal and external customers Must have good technical problem-solving skills Must be able to work independently as well in a team environment Knowledge of quality procedures for ISO 9000 AS9100 preferred Microsoft Office (Word Excel Outlook) experienced Candidates are required to pass a Criminal Background Check and a 10 Panel Drug Screen.Only U.S. Citizens or persons with a Green Card work permit may apply.
