Full Job DescriptionGENERAL PURPOSE OF THE ROLE Under the direction of the Director of Human Resources & Safety the Industrial Labor Manager will manage all activities related to industrial labor in a non-union environment. He she will oversee the industrial labor recruitment and onboarding process develop strategies to attract and retain qualified staff will work closely with management to determine the staffing needs throughout the business build and maintain professional relationships with temporary staffing agencies and provide day-to-day support to the Industrial Recruiter and Labor & Staffing Specialist.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Oversee the recruitment and onboarding process for all industrial staff Actively recruit for all industrial labor for the business Develop strategies to attract qualified industrial labor Assist with retention efforts recommending programs to retain qualified talent Assist the Director of HR & Safety with the annual compensation & benefits review process making recommendations based on market trends Develop programs to help promote a positive culture and make TFI USA an employer of choice Handle any disputes from industrial staff utilizing expertise and following company policies Assist with safety initiatives involving industrial staff including training process improvements policies and other efforts to promote a Safety First environment Support the industrial labor management team with HR related procedures (discipline attendance performance etc.) Assist the Safety team with safety inspections of the facility and address safety concerns with appropriate personnel Assist with setting up trainings for all industrial staff using Alchemy or other training programs Work on projects and other assignments as directed by management within scope and abilityJOB REQUIREMENTS Bachelor s degree in business or human resources preferred Associates degree required 5 years of experience working with industrial labor preferably in a food processing facility 3 years managing industrial labor or HR personnel Certified in safety training first aid CPR AED a plus Strong communication skills both verbal and written and strong interpersonal skills Strong knowledge and experience within Microsoft Office Suite Detail oriented results driven strong time management skills Strong problem-solving abilities and organizational skills Strong leader promoting a team environment Self-started able to take tasks and run with them Fluent in English (speaking writing reading) bilingual in Spanish a plus Ability to read and understand Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and provide input on developing new SOPs for safety Understand and abide by all safety regulations as well as policies and procedure set forth by Thomas Foods International USACreated 6 2021Job Type Full-timeBenefits 401(k) 401(k) matching Dental insurance Employee assistance program Employee discount Health insurance Life insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Schedule 8 hour shift Monday to Friday Ability to commute relocate Swedesboro NJ 08085 Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred) Experience Labor union 3 years (Required) License Certification Professional In Human Resources (Preferred) Work Location One location Work Remotely No
