Sam Houston TXPls. apply online at s www.1prospect.com careersFLSA Classification Exempt - SalariedEmployment Class Full Time RegularPosition Summary 1 Prospect Technologies LLC is seeking a qualified Academic Program Manager for the Occupational Therapy Doctoral (OTD) Program who performs administrative and training management functions for program accreditation standards maintenance for faculty staff and student services with the host university and military institutions in accordance with the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE) standards. This position will assist the Program Director in developing program strategy and policies and execute appropriate curriculum class governance in regards to each fellow enrolled in the doctoral program. Will augment the Government staff for OTD as directed in support of U.S. Army Medical Center of Excellence (MEDCoE) located at Joint Base San Antonio (JBSA) Ft. Sam Houston TX.Essential Duties & Responsibilities Use knowledge of program and course objectives specific knowledge of each Service s procedures and guidelines for accession onto active duty policies and procedures by Baylor University U.S. Army Training & Doctrine Command (TRADOC) and the MEDCoE to advise the Program Director (PD) faculty and staff of the U.S. Army-Baylor University Doctoral Program in Occupational Therapy. Coordinate directly with staff from Baylor University Robbins College Graduate School Registrar Record s Office and other University services MEDCoE Graduate School headquarters Program Management offices (including Registrar) Information Technology (G6 G2 IT) and Classroom Management Office (CMO) to accomplish program goals and objectives. Assist the PD faculty staff and students on matters relating to admissions registration and graduation. Maintain and generate documentation and reports in support of graduation and accreditation. Serve as consultant to the Program Director faculty and staff on issues concerning changes in accreditation curriculum and procedures for routing submitting changes to Robbins College and Graduate School at Baylor University. Coordinate with Baylor University and MEDCOE Graduate School for faculty credentialing (appointments promotions retractions) collects and submits faculty documentation (specifically including relevant transcripts and curriculum vitae). Request Baylor University identification numbers (cards) for appointed faculty and staff (auxiliary appointments). Support auxiliary appointments to ensure adequacy of administrative support to the program. Serve as primary program point of contact to multiple DOD and civilian facilities hosting student clinical affiliations and internships. Provide technical advice and assists program administrator in coordinating with the student detachment on administrative issues for students and staff. Responsible for organizing and coordinating training facilities (internal and external to the MEDCoE). Develop revise and manage the orientation (two weeks) for the incoming class out processing for the outgoing class (one week) Oral Examination Boards and Graduation Ceremony. Provide input and feedback on the training schedule and academic calendar for the program s 18-month didactic phase and 1-year internship. Attend program strategic planning conferences and monthly curriculum meetings. Determine needed administrative changes to calendar and recommends changes to the Program Director. Provide calendar updates for Program Director faculty and staff internship directors students Baylor University and the MEDCoE. Provide advice to Program Director faculty and staff on developing training milestones provides material requested to appropriate organizations and works with each faculty member on scheduling and classroom equipment needs. Periodically provide briefings to faculty staff and students regarding training schedule and administrative issues. Answers routine questions and resolves issues from instructors and adjunct faculty on the training schedule. Ensure changes to class schedules are disseminated to appropriate personnel. Ensures the program s calendar is aligned with the Graduate School and Robbins College at Baylor University and the MEDCoE. Ensures information for the program is accurate in the Army Training Resource Requirements System (ATRRS). Duties are subject to change based on the needs of the government customer Other duties as assigned. Education & Experience Requirements Required Experience supporting an Occupational Therapy Doctoral program to include accreditation requirements Experience coordinating and conversing with a variety of military civilian academic and clinical site personnel and programs Ability to pass and maintain a Tier 1 (T1) Investigation (Federal background check). A current adjudicated T1 or higher investigation or Security clearance is preferred Preferred Experience as an ACOTE Academic Program Manager Military experience preferably in the U.S. Army with relevant military occupational specialty (MOS) Knowledge Skills & Abilities Required Knowledge of each U.S. Military Service s procedures and guidelines for accession onto active duty Knowledge of Baylor University Robbins College and Graduate school policies and procedures relative to job duties Knowledge of TRADOC and MEDCOE policies and procedures relative to job duties Familiarity with graduate school faculty credentialing processes and requirements Able to read write and speak English Fluently Possess excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills Capable of learning and utilizing current and emerging military and commercial technology Capable of performing a variety of writing tasks ensuring cohesiveness clarity flow and compliance with Army and grammatical writing guidelines Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite and incorporated programs to include Excel PowerPoint Word and Outlook and be able to troubleshoot basic computer hardware and software required for services being provided Working Conditions Working Environment Physical Demands Services will be provided at government facilities.
