The ChallengeWe re looking for an Automotive Parts Supervisor to join our Forsyth County Equipment Shop. In this role you will Lead teams in fleet equipment support fleet inventory management and fleet equipment purchasing. Supervise our equipment fleet support operations team doing the purchasing receiving sorting issuing and inventory maintenance of equipment repair parts. Solicit quotes and purchase materials less than 5 000 solicit quotes and requisition materials over 5 000 through our NCDOT Purchasing system. Check incoming materials invoices for accuracy approve for payment and enter data into our SAP system for further processing. Initiate emergency purchases for non-inventory items. Use material forecasting to determine sufficient levels of stock and adjust requirements. Review new equipment master data to determine need for additional stock items. Assure all inventory and non inventory materials are received in a timely manner for daily operations of 6 equipment shops. Research repair parts from equipment history and parts manual. Coordinate and prioritize emergency needs of equipment repair materials with the equipment superintendent. Procure material for other NCDOT agencies as requested. What You BringSkills identifying automotive and construction equipment parts using web sites catalogs or physical inspection. Knowledge of parts procurement and inventory procedures for light heavy vehicle and construction type equipment parts. Experience with physical inventory maintenance procedures (i.e. daily and annual spot checks counting). Data entry experience including invoicing and purchasing. Experience with operations of Light Medium trucks and forklifts. Computer skills in Microsoft Office (Word Excel) and web-based databases such as SAP. Management PrefersA valid Class A Commercial Driver s License with N Endorsement. NotesSafety toe footwear is required. You will be subject to emergency callback and be required to work at times of adverse weather conditions.
