The OUHSC campus in Oklahoma City has an opening for a full-time Staff Research Assistant in the laboratory of Dr. Gaston Ofman.We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join a collaborative and multidisciplinary team of clinicians and scientists focused on newborn health and disease research. The candidate will contribute to projects investigating (1) COVID-19 antibody production during pregnancy and transmission to newborn children and (2) the influences of perinatal development and prematurity on cardiopulmonary cellular functions. The candidate will utilize and document cell & molecular approaches (i.e. processing of blood and human milk samples ELISAs mitochondrial bioenergetics and nucleic acid & protein isolation and detection) to generate and analyze data as well as perform other related duties tasks and responsibilities as required or assigned.Familiarity with Windows Office (Word Excel PowerPoint) and statistical programs such as GraphPad Prism is preferred.Requirements Bachelor s Degree in a Biological Science Chemistry or Physical Science or related field and 12 months research laboratory experience.
