Senior Accounts Receivable Analyst Regular Full-TimeProfessional One Pierrepont Plaza Suite 901 Brooklyn NY 11201 Brooklyn NY US Position OverviewThe Senior Accounts Receivable Analyst will provide accounting functions focusing on the timely preparation of diverse claims to bill city state and federal agencies for contract services rendered and cash receipt management. Experience with NYS & NYC budgets contracts and HHS Accelerator reporting is highly preferred. The successful candidate will work in concert with the Agency s Fiscal team and work closely with program management to ensure the accuracy of all claims submitted. Responsible for posting relevant entries into our accounting software MIP Fund Accounting. Tracking voucher billing and payment with Excel bank deposits and maintaining cash flow statement. Responsible for critical billings and analysis of billings and accounts receivable functions. Provide quick and accurate work for analysis reconciliation and billing for NYS Agency Billings cash receipts audit preparation and other areas as needed. This position will also supervise 1.5 billing staff ensuring the accuracy of their claims. Duties and responsibilities including and not limited to Responsible for varied DYCD ACS Housing Subsidy and other assigned billings liaising with Budgeting and Program to ensure accurate & timely claims submitted with all documentation as required. Supervision of Pass thru billings and miscellaneous county claim submissions Ensure monthly Billings completed based on detailed expenses downloaded from accounting software (MIP) and imported into billing format Prepare all related GL Entries and maintain Accounts Receivable Schedule reconciled to GL including follow-up for collection of all bills submitted. Responsible for banking as necessary including deposits & transmittal preparation completing MIP Cash Receipt entries and reconciliation to Bank Statements and Development s (Raiser s Edge Transmittals Grant Proposals etc.) Responsible for preparation and updating monthly cash flow statement for CFO. Must work effectively with all auditors and adhere to strict audit timeline. Will be assigned other fiscal responsibilities as needed. Qualified candidates will have the following experience Minimum 2 years related experience. Bachelor s Degree preferred or high school diploma with 3 years of experience Must have knowledge and experience with General Ledger & Journal Entries Proficient Excel skills Experience with MIP Abila Accounting software and or HHS Accelerator preferred Competencies & Traits Attention to detail with a sense of urgency. Ability to perform quantitative mathematical analysis. Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
