The PeopleReady located at Lakeville Minnesota 55044 is currently hiring a Mig Welder Job Description Job Description We are in immediate need of an experienced Mig Welder. Monday -Thursday 6am-430pm Knowledge of aluminum welding would also be helpful. MIG welders measure cut and assemble metal projects using an electric arc and inert gas. They select suitable material ensure the work area is safe prepare metal surfaces determine gas ratios and inspect weld strength during and after the welding process. MIG welders should be physically strong and have good troubleshooting skills. If you lack experience but hold a degree we would also like to speak with you. Note - Pay Rate for this Job is 20 Hour - 30 HourDOE and Education Shift Timing -1st Shift (Day) Responsibilities Weld components in flat vertical or overhead positions. Operate safety equipment and use safe work habits. Examine workpieces for defects and measure workpieces with straightedges or templates to ensure conformance with specifications. Recognize set up and operate hand and power tools common to the welding trade such as shielded metal arc and gas metal arc welding equipment. Weld separately or in combination using aluminum stainless steel cast iron and other alloys. Adjust equipment controls to regulate gas flow. Qualifications Handling and Moving Objects Using hands and arms in handling installing positioning and moving materials and manipulating things. Handle pressure under deadlines. Control Machines and Processes Using either control mechanisms or direct physical activity to operate machines or processes (not including computers or vehicles). Identifying Objects Actions and Events Identifying information by categorizing estimating recognizing differences or similarities and detecting changes in circumstances or events. Inspect Equipment Structures or Material Inspecting equipment structures or materials to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects.
