Carnival land

While the primary focus of most carnivals in Russia is on entertainers and large-scale theme parades, they do have some great traditions in place that celebrates the culture and way of life of the Russian people. There are plenty of independent shows and dances that are performed throughout the carnival period. Russian folk dance is also quite popular at these carnivals, especially among the younger population. This is because it tends to be a well-known folk art form, rather than something highly specific to a particular country or people. Folk dance also tends to be much cheaper than many other types of dance, allowing Russian citizens to enjoy it for all its worth. It is also considered a strong sign of Russian culture and pride.
