The PeopleReady located at Perham Minnesota 56573 is currently hiring a Packaging Operator Job Description We are currently hiring for a Packaging Operator to work for a large pet food manufacturer in Perham MN. This position is temp-to-hire. The Packaging Operator will operate and maintain the general operation of a line to ensure continuous quality efficiency sanitation and safety of that line. Note - Pay Rate for this Job is 19.96 Hour Shift Timing -2nd Shift (Evening) Responsibilities Communicate with Supervisor Foreman on all production concerns Communicate with Extruder Operators on product times and bin space Starting and setting up all required equipment for production Controlling packaging materials code dates expiration dates stickers and any items unique to product specs Controls product quality packaging quality contamination weight controls and line efficiency Will do general maintenance and repairs on equipment and assist maintenance personnel Will perform all equipment adjustments and change overs and troubleshoot equipment when problems occur Complete all daily reports in legible manner Assist in controlling packaging from warehouse Assist in supervising all line workers required on line Complete knowledge of bin product distribution product delivery and blending systems Coordinate all record keeping and charting to include cleaning schedule packaging yields and efficiency Qualification Leadership skills Self motivation Good judgement and reasoning abilities General mechanical knowledge General mathematical skills Must be able to lift up to 65 lbs Must not be afraid of heights - climbing up to 150ft Continuous walking pushing pulling standing and reaching above shoulder level Occasionally bending stooping crouching carrying and lifting Working in loud and at times dusty and hot environment General knowledge of daily extrusion and production reports
