Note Payrate for this job is 11.50 Hour Shift Timings 1st Shift - Day Knowledge of Proper weeding trimming pruning and fertilizing of plants and shrubbery. Hazards and safety precautions related to general maintenance and grounds activities. Ability to Properly care for assigned areas and equipment. Understand and carry out oral and written directions. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work. Communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Lift move heavy equipment and objects as needed. Properly use and care for hand and power tools. Provide valid current Drivers License information. Responsibilities Include Planting weeding mulching and caring for plants and shrubbery on university grounds. Lifting moving objects and equipment weighing approximately 50 pounds as needed. Using hand and power tools as needed to accomplish assigned tasks. Must be able to work weekends as needed. Qualifications Any combination of experience and training that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be to have prior grounds experience and the equivalent to the completion of the twelfth grade. Applicant must be able to furnish work character references. Valid Drivers License required.
