Technology Support Specialist - Stow OH - JOB 21-00376Salary 45 000 - 60 000 Permanent Position with BenefitsOnly U.S. Citizens or persons with a Green Card work permit may apply.Job Overview The Technology Support Specialist will support end users by meeting their Information Technology needs in a timely manner. These needs include resolving problems with both hardware and software configuring computers and other devices installing software and apps and performing other setup activities when necessary. Responsibilities also include maintenance of the IT equipment inventory which involves tracking and reporting on existing IT assets. Additionally the Technology Support Specialist will assist the Director of Technology and Continuous Improvement with server-related tasks such as Active Directory Accounts and Exchange administration and management of credentials for all user accounts. Finally the Technology Support Specialist will run reports and perform other duties as directed by the Director of Technology and Continuous Improvement.ResponsibilitiesOrder all IT hardware including laptops and desktop computers cell phones and tablets and peripheral devices when needed. Set up and provide support for 150 Laptops desktops computers. Install and upgrade apps and other software. Set up and provide support for 500 mobile devices (cell phones and tablets). Establish accounts and install and upgrade apps and other software. Set up and provide support for other office equipment such as conference room projectors cameras etc. Support order and maintain hardware (monitors scanners printers keyboards docking stations webcams speakers etc.). Troubleshoot and resolve email issues. Maintain the Tech Request Queue and utilize the queue to communicate status. Manage Vipre (Email spam filter) - spam content Allow Deny List users etc. Set up and manage users Google accounts. Support MS Office software functionality. Remain current with company software updates bulletins execute updates and communicate changes to employees when necessary. Maintain an awareness of potential threats and execute countermeasures or delegate to BPI to resolve Manage an inventory of all company devices and accessories. Track assets in Spectrum s Item Tracking Module and in other locations as needed. Maintain database with current status and assignments. Publish reports from this database. Maintain a software inventory. Set up scan profiles on the shared Toshiba machines. Manage users and cost centers for mobile devices in the Telecommunication Portal. Monitor and adjust cell phone plans to ensure they represent current use. Suspend users that no longer require service to eliminate wasteful spending. Review the Telecommunication account mid-cycle each month and when monthly invoices are received in order to identify overages and notify supervisors when they have occurred. Manage Cloud accounts for each device. (365 One Drive Google Drive etc.). Import Contacts to phones. Train employees on the use of issued hardware cell phones and tablets. Maintain a current Contact list with mobile numbers and emails. Manage extensions and user accounts paging groups etc. on office phones. Program troubleshoot issues and provide support for Toshiba desk phones. Assign initial desk phone extensions and phone programming. Relocate phone extension when employees move. QualificationsEducationHigh School Diploma with at least 3 years of experience in the Information Technology field working with computer servers and personal computing devices such as PCs tablets and cell phones or a 2 year degree or at least 2 years completed towards 4 year advanced degree in Information Technology Information Systems with 2 or more years of previously described experience. SkillsWorking knowledge of computer hardware software and mobile devices. Ability to provide technical support and resolve queries with little or no direction. Can take direction well. Ability to prioritize workload. Willingness to learn grow and take on additional responsibility over time. Ability to keep up with technical innovation and trends in technology support. Problem solving skills. Attention to detail. Excellent listening and questioning skills combined with ability to interact confidently with end-user to establish what the problem is and explain the solution. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills. Works well in a team or individually.
