The PeopleReady located at Erie Pennsylvania 16506 is currently hiring a Chrome Plater Job Description People Ready is hiring Chrome Plater Payrate for this job is 12 Hour. Job Responsibilities Understand plating instructions (both verbal and written) and fill all paperwork that follows. Preparation for plating according to company procedures and understand principles of plating. Operate all plating equipment. Operate forklift hand trucks and overhead hoists. Must follow all safety procedures on equipment maintain equipment and report any malfunctions. Works safely at all times and complies with all safety regulations while working with Hazardous materials and chemicals. This position is required to work with Chemicals. Read micrometers thickness gages and profilometers. Be able to fabricate jigs and fixtures for parts using hand and air power tools. Maintains equipment and work area in a clean and organized manner. Monitors all equipment to ensure they are performing and calibrated properly. Inspect and package parts. Ensures all customer product and tooling is handled properly to avoid damage. Works with a positive attitude and reports all questions or concerns to supervisor in a timely manner. Performs other miscellaneous job duties and related functions as needed. Qualifications & Experience To be successful in this role you will need to read and understand all safety data sheets (SDS) of all chemicals worked with. Have basic reading writing and mathematical skills. protective gear deemed necessary for job. Repetitive lifting up to 50 lbs. unassisted. Sharp parts sharp tooling heavy carts occasional hot and cold temperature and humidity levels heat from ovens moderate noise levels limited hand and air tool use compressed air (must use hearing protection). Potential splash exposure near tanks. Some positions are repetitive in nature. Various chemicals used in process.
