The PeopleReady located at Kuna Idaho 83634 is currently hiring a Skinner Hide Handler Job Description Job Summary The skinner hide handler position sorts cattle mortalities following GMP s and removes the hide from cattle cuts cattle into pieces eviscerates and removes CMPAF material as needed using hoists lifts saws and knives. Handles and trims hides and stacks them on pallets Preferred Qualifications Responsibilities Include Nothing in this job description restricts management s right to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time. Operate knives hoists and saws to process cattle mortalities and cattle hides. Sort cattle mortalities by age remove hides eviscerate split remove CMPAF material and grind cattle mortalities into processing sizes. Unload cattle hides from route vehicles knife trim hides as necessary move hides into and out of brine curing tanks fold and stack hides on pallets. Maintain good housekeeping before after and during each shift. Following all company policies and GMP s pertaining to the job requirements. Perform other job duties as directed by the Plant Manager or Assistant Plant Manager. Assures equipment and work area is clean after each shift. Maintains safety as top priority in accordance with all company safety rules and regulations. Qualifications There is no minimal educational requirement but specialized training can help laborers advance Verifiable work history that shows professional skills and experience Strong work ethic Some assignment have additional screening requirements such as background checks and or drug tests Slaughter house experience a plus. Problem solving and time management skills. Willingness to work in a team concept and high level of reliability. Ability to communicate effectively and efficiently with all levels of plant personnel. Shift work overtime and weekend work required. Physical Demands Frequently required to walk stand sit climb balance stoop kneel crawl and crouch. Frequently must push pull move or lift up to 50 lbs.
