The PeopleReady located at BROOKLYN New York 11216 is currently hiring a Maintenance Technician Job Description Under general supervision performs a variety of general maintenance duties which include electrical mechanical carpentry and construction in the maintenance and repair of facilities and equipment. Responsibilities Include Responsible for the general upkeep of the entire facility Full and thorough cleaning of all bathrooms walls ceiling etc. Perform duties such as stripping waxing sweeping mopping and the buffing of all floors on a periodic basis Removal of garbage from the premises Removal of snow in the winter season from all ground areas including the company s parking lot and motor vehicles. 6 Assist in the Preventive Maintenance of the facility Provide emergency unscheduled repairs as needed Read and interpret equipment manual and work orders to perform required maintenance and service Diagnose problems replace or repair parts test and made adjustment Perform a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry function Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas 1 Performance of any other duties that may be assigned during the course of day Qualifications Interpersonal skills to interact with employees or residents of the building in a pleasant manner Attention to detail to ensure that all jobs are completed in an exemplary manner and any potential hazards or warning signs of problems are not overlooked Physical stamina to handle a full shift of being active and working on the building
