The PeopleReady located at Chespeake Virginia 23320 is currently hiring a Machine Operator Job Description IMMEDIATE OPENINGS WITH A GROWING COMPANY IN YOUR AREA As a Machine Operator you would work on one (or several) machines in order to optimize production. Operators will make sure that the machines are working safely. Does this position sound like something you are passionate about Shift - 1st shift Tuesday - Friday starting at 3am - 1pm Note - Pay Rate for this Job is 14 Hour Responsibilities Include Quality - Must demonstrate accuracy in the production of the material. Understanding and knowledge of ISO compliance a plus. Efficiency - Must be able to follow a production schedule to meet customer deadlines. Flexible - Can accommodate changes to work assignments with a positive attitude and is willing to be crossed trained on multiple workstations. Teamwork - Works well as part of a team and under the supervision of a plant foreman. Attention to Details - Must follow specific instructions to meet customer requirements. Inventory Control - Management of materials throughout the month to satisfy exceptional month end inventory results. Safety - OSHA standards are in place and must be followed. Qualifications Experience Previous material handling and warehouse experience preferred. Forklift experience preferred but not required. Moderate physical effort required. Must be able to lift up to 55 pounds. Regularly required to stand reach climb stairs and move about the facility. Safety glasses steel-toe shoes boots and ear protection. Requirements Able to read and understand English. High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. Must have a valid driver s license and or reliable transportation to from work. Must pass a respirator fit test. Background check Drug screen
