What can I expect Competitive Pay Potential for Overtime Potential for training and certifications on an as needed basis Note - Pay Rate for this Job is 20.00 Hour Job Responsibilities Work alongside Operator and handling shingle bundles stacking on roof tops and going out on deliveries to transport materials Pre-inspect truck load with materials and verify load for accuracy Loading truck and roof top loading of material Set up job perimeters inspect site to ensure a safe environment to unload Unload truck at site -involves lifting of heavy building materials Communicate regularly with dispatcher to ensure timely product delivery at job site and Maintain accurate records for submission to Fleet Office Communicate potential on-site hazards to branch management Keep logbook up-to-date at all times Adhere to and understand safety policies and regulations Assist with general warehouse duties and clean-up when needed Perform other duties as assigned Handling materials up to 80ibs Working with heights and roof work to place materials when delivered Working with others Cleaning of site Qualifications & Experience Eligible candidates will have a working from heights certification Forklift Operator certification will be an asset High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions short correspondence and memos of the organization Ability to do basic mathematics including addition subtraction multiplication division fractions etc Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. The candidate must regularly lift and or move up to 80 pounds. The candidate must pass a background check. Preferred someone with a vehicle Can pass a background check Own PPE such as steel toed CSA approved safety boots Certification in working with heights Also a physical position and fast paced Can work the odd weekend Looking for full time work What will give me an edge over other applicants Experience handling building materials
