A pair of Stewart-Romero boots from teh 1950s men s size 8 approx. Riding style heel. Measures 12.5 from heel to top piping. 150. The bootmaker s history began in 1940 s Mexico when Adolfo Romero and Ronnie Stewart and formed the Stewart-Romero Boot Company. Their boots became popular in Los Angeles and many referred to them as Hollywood s boot makers as they outfitted many western movies. Costume designer Edith Head had them make the boots that James Dean wore in the 1959 movie Giant. Stewart-Romero boots are some of the most sought after western boots by collectors as a top quality boot made by one of the best in the boot business. A great pair to have in your collection.
