The PeopleReady Branch located at Decatur Alabama 35603 is currently hiring a Production Specialist Job DescriptionWe are hiring a Production Specialist to join our team You will operate machinery and equipment as well as identify areas of improvement to increase efficiency. Note Pay Rate for this Job is 14.99 Hour - 16.65 HourResponsibilities Include Assist with new hire training new procedures training and continuous education. Completion of job descriptions and other training paperwork. Maintain clean work areas. Assist in quality checks and lot code verification. Manage assist in changeovers. De-issue the line of all changeover materials. Ensure changeovers are completed in target time. Assist shift lead in day-to-day operation on the production floor. Follow and instruct others in established safety and GMP regulations. Be proactive in training look for opportunities to train others. Look for opportunities to improve processes. Serve as back-up shift lead when necessary. Responsible for reporting food safety issues to management and or Quality Assurance. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Stand for an entire shift. Lift 25 pounds regularly and up to 40 pounds on occasion. Walk bend kneel twist turn and use of hand and fingers on a regular basis. Climbing ladders as needed Must have machine operator experience and knowledge of all products. Be certified to operate a forklift. Must possess good communication skills both verbal and written. Patience to teach and train others. Leadership ability. Ability to work well with others.
