The PeopleReady located at Los Banos CA 93635 is currently hiring a Packaging OperatorResponsibilities include Job DescriptionA Packaging Operator is responsible for performing inspections for product quality and periodically monitoring packaging equipment to maintain packaging efficiencies. Note Pay Rate for this Job is 14 Hour Responsibilities Inspects the pouches for seal integrity proper pouch codes bad seals creases rips tears puncture marks holes and product quality using set quality control guidelines standards. Insures that cases are properly indexed prior to packaging and sealing. Monitors sealed cases to insure they are sealed by performing case seal integrity tests and monitoring case codes for legible codes. Hand applies labels in preparation for upcoming production. Cleans and maintains packaging area and equipment to meet all guidelines for food manufacturing. Periodically monitors packaging equipment settings for accuracy replenishing consumables (I.E. glue and fiber) as needed to maintain efficiencies. Helps fulfill new customer requirements for product labeling and carton configurations. Performs other duties as needed or assigned by Supervisor or Line Lead. Qualifications Ability to function with minimal supervision including the capacity to follow verbal and written instruction team player. Ability to speak and write English. Ability to count accurately with attention to detail. Ability to read labels and codes on boxes and product. Understands and follows all company policies and procedures. Understands that this is a Safety Sensitive position in a food plant with cold hot and humid conditions wet floors high noise levels forklift and pedestrian traffic. Must be able to operate label machines thermometers various packaging machines and communication radios. Must be willing and able to successfully complete Online Video Safety Training prior to job assignment.
