The sandblaster uses abrasive blasting equipment to remove paint grease tar rust and dirt. The Sand Molder is responsible for shoveling or pouring sand grit or other abrasive material into the machine and monitoring and maintaining an adequate supply of the abrasive in the hopper.Responsibilities checking the weights of sand catalyst and binders and reports discrepancies from specifications to supervisor. Using pace master machine fills and vibrates molds while manually packing sand. strikes off excess sand. Uses rollover machine or manually strips pattern when sand has hardened. Inspects mod for faking sand broken parts etc. and condition of pattern. Performs routine machine maintenance. Completes and or maintains required reports and records Adheres to safety policies and practices consistently uses PPE and practices good housekeeping. Blasters Sand blast structural steel Operate and have understanding sand blast equipment. Ie. Clemco Blast Pots Use a combination of various amounts of air pressure multiple mounts and blasting techniques Understanding of different grades of blast ie SSPC-SP6 Commercial blast Comply with company and industrial safety standards Qualifications & ExperienceExperienced Sand Blaster Vehicle transportation Able to lift to 50 lbs.
