Job Description Plastic Injection Molding Machine Operator is required to maintain the control of processes in injection molding. The role also provides support to the execution of the production schedule including component changes set-ups start-ups machine operator duties assembly sorting or other functions as needed in the plastics department.Note Pay Rate for this Job is 13 HourWORK ENVIRONMENT While performing the duties of this job the employee will encounter noise level typical of that of a warehouse and office with computers phones printers and light traffic. May encounter frequent interruptions throughout the day. May be required to work in a confined area and sit at a computer terminal for an extended period of time. The Technician is required to maintain the control of processes in injection molding. The role also provides support to the execution of the production schedule including component changes set-ups start-ups machine operator duties assembly sorting or other functions as needed in the plastics department.Responsibility Perform mold and or material changes as dictated by the schedule Perform process troubleshooting Perform part inspections and various other functions to insure part conformity and quality Verify process with process setup sheet All aspects of the injection molding process not limited to set-up and tear down. Provides molded components in a timely manner in to ensure production schedules are met. Manages raw molding materials in a way that ensures traceability and prevents contamination Generates documentation on mold runs that can be used to control traceability and ensure reproducibility. Follows established procedures in order to maintain a clean and organized environment. Perform mold setting machine operator sorter assembly and or other duties as needed. Operate overhead cranes. Operate label printer. Follow established procedures in order to maintain a clean and organized environment. Adhere to lock-out tag-out policy and procedures. Perform all duties safely and efficiently. Other duties as assigned. QualificationSuccessfully complete all essential training. HS GED and or completion of technical diploma from an accredited vocational technical institute or equivalent work experience 1-2 years of experience as a process technician or experience in related field. Technical Knowledge Skills & Experience Mold Technician experience is preferred. Ability to read measuring devices i.e. micrometer vernier calipers Acu-Guage etc. Ability to operate overhead cranes Must be able to successfully complete extensive screening process.
