Position InformationPosition Early Childhood Educator Terms of employment Full-time Permanent Wage 18.00 20.00 Hour (depending on experience) Government Wage Enhancement 2.00 per hour Working Hour 30 - 40 hrs week Number of Positions 1 Business address 201-388 175A Street Surrey BC V3S 6S7 (Surrey Location) Benefits 10 days paid vacation per year Extended Medical Dental Plan Pension Plan Job Duties Responsible for the constant supervision safety and well-being of the children Recognize and responds to the needs of each child by using developmentally appropriate teaching and child behaviour management techniques Evaluate the abilities interests and needs of children and discuss problems progress with parents and with management regularly Plan and implement childcare programs to promote physical cognitive emotional and social development of children and operate at all times in compliance with all childcare licensing standards Ensure that the facility and all equipment is clean well-maintained and safe Assist and encourage children to learn proper eating dressing toilet habits Schedule and maintain weekly and monthly activities Maintain policies and procedures including disciplinary policies Attend staff meetings as directed by management Must be able to relate to children on their level without losing sight of teaching objective Perform other duties as may be assigned by management Position Requirements Experience Experience as Early Childhood Educator in a child-care providing facilities is an asset. Education College Certificate or diploma in Early Childhood Education is required. Certificate First Aid Certificate & CPR Certificate and E.C.E. Certificate Language Proficient level of English skills is required.
