As a member of the operations leadership team this position works directly with all levels in the organization to design implement and audit strategic safety programs.Note - Pay Rate for this Job is 20 Hour - 24 HourESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Evaluate assess and upgrade safety policies & procedures to improve company safety performance. Conduct regular safety audits of all facilities to ensure and upgrade as appropriate facilities equipment work practices supervisor coaching PPE material handling and other safety concerns. Annual audit of all safety practices & procedures to ensure that they comport with latest legal regulatory and industry standards. Prepare and conduct regular safety training sessions for all employees. Lead accident & incident investigations to determine appropriate facts required actions necessary reporting and implement corrective actions. Establish and maintain appropriate performance metrics & standards - internal & regulatory. Review analyze and report on performance to a regular basis. Regularly research regulations and policies. Institute changes necessary to ensure compliance. Maintain records and ensure compliance with all regulatory bodies and standards (including OSHA DEP etc.) Maintain ISO standards for employee safety. POSITION REQUIREMENTSBachelor s Degree in Safety Management Engineering Industrial Hygiene Basic or Applied Science Environmental Science or any other related subject. 3 to 5 years safety experience in manufacturing environment preferably heavy manufacturing Leadership skills and experience implementing change by working with senior leadership peers and other employees without direct management authority. OSHA 10 and OSHA 30 certification.
