Homestay plays a vital part in our international student experience. Currently we are seeking a Homestay Co-ordinator who has supports both Homestay families and international students with in-depth knowledge of interpersonal and communications skills Position Homestay Co-ordinator Wage 20.00 21.00 per hour (Depending on working experience)Working hours 30 hours per weekTerms of Employment Full-time PermanentStarting Date of Employment As Soon As PossiblePosition Available 1Benefits 2 weeks paid vacations per yearWork Location 505-666 Burrard Street Vancouver B.C. Canada V6C 3P6 Job Duties Determine the suitability of Homestay families by reviewing applications and conducting home visits and regularly conduct visits to ensure that circumstances do not change Match students with Homestay families based on information gathered from student applications Recruit and retain Homestay families and conduct orientation sessions for host families explaining commitments and obligations for homestay families and new students. Establish the contractual agreement and collect required financial documentation to establish and change placements as they occur Maintain regular contact with the student Homestay families to ensure facilitates resolution of issues as they arise Provide information and resolve gaps in communication by liaising between educational agents Homestay families natural parents and students Provide ongoing support conflict resolution and mediation between Homestay families and students. Qualification Completion of secondary school may be required but it is not mandatory A language proficiency index is required At least 1-year of administrative experience as a property clerk contract clerk or administrative officer is usually required Great interpersonal and communication skills Detail-oriented great organizing skills.
