Area Controls Engineer

SUMMARY Management Business Solutions is seeking an Area Process Controls Engineer for its client in LaPorte IN the Midwest. Based near one of the company s regional manufacturing facilities the ideal candidate will support the division s manufacturing footprint by providing technical troubleshooting and maintenance support for chemical and gas manufacturing facility controls and measurement systems. RESPONSIBILITIES Provide technical troubleshooting and maintenance support for all controls and measurement systems including Remote Operations Plant Auto Start Supervisory and LMPC Control Operations Portal Expert Systems Metering and Monitoring Systems Automated Data Collection Pipeline Demand Management Automated Trailer Fill and controls network security. Review adequacy of and ensure adherence to controls and measurement systems policies and procedures Preventive Maintenance plans and execution contingency plans spare parts stocks and data collection and utilization. Lead and execute controls and measurement system programs and projects with respect to supply chain operations contractor performance evaluation continuous improvement budget development capital appropriation and project estimation and best practices. Supports disciplined change management processes technical training and plants within a 4-hour driving range. QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor s degree in Engineering required. 15 years experience in an operational and engineering environment. Proven experience in the installation maintenance and troubleshooting of controls and measurement systems required general expertise in instrumentation analyzers and networking preferred. Root Cause Analysis FMEA methodologies predictive and preventive maintenance and regulatory and industry standards and codes expertise. Operational safety leadership strong personal and matrix team leadership willingness to make change happen technology financial business case and strong communication skills expected.
