SUMMARY Management Business Solutions is seeking a FPGA Design Engineer for our client in Rochester NY. This person will design architect and implement waveforms and DSP algorithms using VHDL or Verilog targeting Software Defined Radio (SDR) hardware. Anyone with ASIC experience could move into FPGA fairly easily. RESPONSIBILITIES Design and development of FPGA devices. Develop FPGA design and interface documents based on the requirement. Perform the design in HDL function and timing simulations and support through validation and integration cycles. Provide support to the Digital Signal Processing Algorithm development and embedded firmware development teams. QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or related field required. 6 years of FPGA design experience required. In-depth knowledge of advanced FPGA ASIC synthesis and applying constraints to ensure proper operation and timing closure Experience in VHDL Verilog Coding ModelSim and vendor specific tools required. Experience in telecom satcom protocols and algorithms required. Knowledge of Analog or Digital boards and systems design for high quantity and high reliability required.
