Signal Processing and Acoustics Scientist

SUMMARY Management Business Solutions is seeking a Signal Processing & Acoustics Scientist for its client in Herndon VA. Building on a base of advanced signal processing research efforts this individual will be responsible for leading the development of advanced algorithms for sonar signal processing solutions demonstrating their effectiveness to the US Navy and other customers and helping to transition the product into tactical implementation. No visa candidates. RESPONSIBILITIES Design and develop sensor system technologies to include array design sensor signal processing beam-forming acoustic communications and automated detection classification processing. Provide technical direction for sensor systems technology development performance prediction and assessment and application programs. Assist with the planning and execution of existing projects and the preparation of technical proposals. QUALIFICATIONS MS or PhD in Signal Processing Underwater Acoustics or related field required. 8 years experience in research and or applications development of sonar sensor system technologies. Experience with advanced signal processing technologies and software development (e.g. Matlab or Python) as well as underwater acoustic sensor system performance analysis. Excellent communication skills ability to work within small teams and ability to obtain US DoD Secret clearance within one year of hire.
