Seeking DIAPERS During these very difficult times millions of parents have lost their jobs and can t afford diapers for their children which are not covered by nutrition programs (such as food stamps aka SNAP or WIC). If you have any leftover diapers (any size) liners inserts training pants etc. that you are willing to donate please contact me. Giving a diaper relieves some of the burden from already overstressed parents 1 while also helping a child avoid rashes urinary tract & other infections aside from the psychological emotional effect of not getting a diaper change. (Repeated pain from rashes & infections can emotionally traumatize a child).Thank you for your consideration during this challenging pandemic. We re all in this together and so we should band together to help each other get through it. P.S. Page 6 CONCLUSIONS The results from this study provide evidence of the substantial prevalence of diaper need in low-income families. This study calls attention to the fact that an insufficient supply of diapers is not only a risk factor for poor infant and child health but also for maternal mental health potentially diminishing maternal sense of competence and increasing maternal stress which ultimately leads to potential negative impacts on child health and development. For families who are financially struggling health care professionals and researchers should recognize not only food and housing but also diapers as basic needs.
