Position Early Childhood EducatorTerms of employment Full-time PermanentWage 20.50 22.00 Hour (depending on experience)Working Hour 30 - 40 hrs weekLocation 120-8740 Alexandra Road Richmond BC Canada V6X 4K6Benefits 4 % Vacation Pay Extended Medical and Dental care Job Duties Responsible for the constant supervision safety and well-being of the children Recognize and responds to the needs of each child by using developmentally appropriate teaching and child behaviour management techniques Evaluate the abilities interests and needs of children and discuss problems progress with parents and with management regularly Plan and implement childcare programs to promote physical cognitive emotional and social development of children and operate at all times in compliance with all childcare licensing standards Ensure that the facility and all equipment is clean well-maintained and safe Assist and encourage children to learn proper eating dressing toilet habits Schedule and maintain weekly and monthly activities Maintain policies and procedures including disciplinary policies Attend staff meetings as directed by management Must be able to relate to children on their level without losing sight of teaching objective Perform other duties as may be assigned by superior Experience requirements Experience as Early Childhood Educator in a child-care providing facilities is an asset. Educational Requirements College Certificate or diploma in Early Childhood Education in BC is required. Certificate Requirements First Aid Certificate & CPR Certificate E.C.E.
