Clean kitchen and work areas Inspect kitchens and food service areas Oversee overall kitchen operation and resolve any rising issue in the kitchen Give ideas on new menu items regulate size of food portions estimate food requirements and costs and purchase supplies Supervise and train kitchen helpers in food preparation Job requirements Completion of a three-year apprenticeship program for cooks OR Completion of college or other program in cooking OR Minimum 2 3 years of commercial cooking experience are required.
