Job Description Responsible for the safe and efficient maintenance and repair of machinery as well as other facility maintenance requirements. Proactive individual with exceptional trouble shooting mechanical pneumatic hydraulic and electrical problem-solving skills. Maintenance technician is required to repair and maintain in accordance with diagrams sketches operation manuals and manufacturer s specifications machinery and mechanical equipment including but not limited to punch presses (fin press turret punch header punch) press brake tube cutters tube benders and shear.Responsibilities Inspect operate and test machines and equipment to troubleshoot and diagnose machine or equipment malfunctions. Malfunctions may be mechanical pneumatic hydraulic or electrical. Plan and lay out repair work using diagrams drawings blueprints maintenance manuals or schematic diagrams. Disassemble repair replace install and reassemble components as necessary to ensure malfunctioning machines and equipment are brought to good working condition as efficiently as possible. This may include repairing mechanical pneumatic hydraulic electrical or electronic defects. Machines include but are not limited to fin presses turret punch header punch press brake tube cutters tube benders shear etc. Equipment include but are not limited to forklifts compressors dryers chiller pumps etc. Record type and cost of maintenance or repair work. Perform preventative maintenance on all plant machines and equipment to ensure maximum productivity. Preventative maintenance schedules may be directed by manufacturer s specifications or developed internally. Work with production supervisor to improve productivity by improving performance of machines materials or processes. Qualifications High School diploma Experience 5 years of experience as a machine maintenance technician or specialist in an industrial or manufacturing plant. Certificates & Licenses Maintenance certification preferred.
