Lead Engineer Director Architectural Millwork - Cleveland Ohio - JOB 20-00439 Salary Range 100K - 150K Permanent Position with Benefits. The Lead Engineer-Director will be responsible for providing engineering leadership across the entire company. Accountable for hiring managing and motivating engineers. Responsible for creation and maintenance of engineering standards. Manage the priorities assignments and workflow of engineering and design teams. Provide leadership as a fully competent engineer in all aspects of the millwork projects. REQUIREMENTSAt minimum 7 years experience with custom architectural millwork industry. Extensive knowledge of millwork construction means and methods a plus Understanding of the construction industry. Must have strong knowledge of AutoCAD Knowledge of Inventor and or Cabinet Vision a plus 3D modeling preferred Must be able to read and interpret blueprints and architectural millwork drawings and specifications Exceptional follow through on commitments Excellent skills in Microsoft Excel and Outlook Experience taking field dimensions with 3-point laser Prior supervisory and project management experience preferred Key Responsibilities Develop in-depth knowledge and understanding of projects and work orders in order to enable effective leadership of engineering activities. Creates and maintains department standards constantly looking for ways to set new standards and use new systems and technology to improve efficiency. Responsible for the overall engineering schedule and maintains a detailed schedule broken out by work order for the completion of all engineering Lead manage and be accountable for the selection and development of Project Engineers including scheduling mentoring and coaching for continued development. Work with the project engineering team to develop the project engineering plan. This plan should identify timeline required to perform all detailing base plan wall builds for approval drawings and manufacturing packages. Full accountability to provide proactive and timely technical information to detailing and Project Engineer teams. Must work with Project Engineers to develop work order break outs. Work with project teams to ensure value engineering is performed during the design development phase of the project. Apply value engineering methods and techniques to ensure economic solutions are developed that work for both Production and the Field Provide technical insight for the procurement of special materials and products in a timely and cost-effective method. Accountable for Project Engineering teams performance on schedule Responsible for the direct supervision of all engineering staff and must ensure sufficient resource is available to produce the MP s as required Candidates are required to pass a Criminal Background Check and a 10 Panel Drug Screen.
