Whether you re looking for work or you re seeking workers for your business PeopleReady is the North American leader in the industrial and on-demand staffing space.The PeopleReady located at Somerset WI 54016 is currently hiring a Automation Technician.Job DescriptionPosition Scope and Purpose Support the manufacturing environment to ensure equipment and processes are operating at high efficiencies.Pay rate for this position 18-30 Hour Key Accountabilities Essential Functions Troubleshoot and maintain custom electro-mechanical equipment automated work cells vision systems and multi axis robotics. Create and de-bug PLC programs with varying levels of complexity. Initiate and complete technical activities leading to new and or improved production processes. Manage several small and large scale projects simultaneously. Regular attendance. Other Position Duties Must be able to program and operate robotic cell and train accordingly. Will provide technical assistance and guidance to other robotic operators. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Associates Degree or equivalent in one of the following controls electronics mechatronics or automation with a minimum of 2-5 years of related work experience. A High School Diploma or equivalent is required. Knowledge of PLC programming set-up of Cartesian 6 axis and SCARA robots. Self-motivated to adapt to changes in a fast paced environment with demonstrated ability to juggle multiple competing tasks and demands. Ability to exercise strong judgment in analyzing evaluating and solving problems. Good technical communication and interpersonal skills. The ability to work effectively with a team as well as the ability to work independently as needed to support the group effort. Computer proficiency. Ability to read write and communicate in English. Physical Requirements Medium work Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. Ability to work for extended periods sitting and looking at computer while completing repetitive motions to include substantial movements (motions) of the wrists hands and or fingers.
