Live-in healthcare aide in the downtown New Orleans or Metairie area.This job involves caring for a young lady who is quadriplegic. The job entails assistance with dressing bathing grooming toileting meal preparation grocery shopping appointments and other activities. The aide will live in the apartment RENT-FREE in exchange for round-the-clock care Monday-Friday. The aide will also be paid 75 week. This rate is negotiable. The aide is free to work away from the home while the client works. On weekends the client will have other aides come in to assist with said activities however the live-in aide may elect to work part of or the whole weekend at an hourly rate. This rate is negotiable.Please be advised that this live-in job is expected to last a minimum of two years. The start date will be between early-December 2020 and January 31 2021. Employment history in the healthcare field is preferred but not mandatory. As long as the prospect is willing to learn how to properly care for the client that is the main objective.The client seeks someone who is personable compassionate patient trustworthy and open to administering some medical aid. Please be advised this job includes assistance with urinating and bowel program. All other expenses (e.g. groceries gasoline for vehicle etc.) are not covered by this job. However the live-in aide will receive a negotiable 75 week and can maintain a job away from the home while the client works. The client is expected to work Monday-Friday roughly 8 hours day. The aide may also be paid in excess for weekend care if the patient arrives home after 1 AM and extraordinary care such as care after a major surgery. Raises in pay are possible.A criminal background check is required and the aide must be drug-free. A resum of past work is strongly encouraged. The apartment will be located in either downtown New Orleans or Metairie. It will be a two-bedroom apartment and the aide will have her his own room.
