Please note Only RN s are eligible for this client due to Mn requirements for complex care. Seeking an RN to join our team of caregivers to provide part time in-home care for a ventilator-dependent adult male in a relaxed family setting. If you don t have ventilator experience we can train you on the job. The client is alert oriented and able to verbalize his needs. He directs his care. His condition is very stable. Due to his neuro-muscular disease he needs max assist with all ADLs positioning and transfers. He uses a patient lift for transfers and a power-chair for mobility.This position differs from agencies or hospitals. The caregivers here are independent home care nurses that bill the state directly. Essentially they are considered independent contractors. In order to be able to provide nursing services to clients in this manner you have to enroll as a Minnesota Health Care Program (MHCP) Provider through the Minnesota Department of Human Services. Day shifts are generally from 10am-10pm. Everyone is required to be available for at least one (or two when needed) weekend shifts per month (does not have to be back to back). For holidays everyone takes turns. There are two night shifts 10pm-10am per week but are not always needed. Weekend or holiday night shifts are not required but are available.
