DescriptionSummary Clean bus interiors to meet or exceed Jefferson s specified cleanliness standards including other duties as assigned.Essential Duties and Responsibilities Remove all trash and gum from bus interior including the overhead racks and seats. Scrub and wipe down all interior surfaces have Shop Mechanic remove window aisle seats. Clean all floor tracks using a putty knife clean side heater and window vents. Clean all overhead compartments. Clean driver area including seat and dashboard. Clean all windows remove graffiti if necessary. Use backpack vacuum cleaner on all seats and floor area. Shampoo all seats both cushions and backs. Clean and scrub restroom area including toilet toilet seat walls and floor. Notify Floor Mechanic if lights are out or any problems exist. Check and remove foreign objects from the toilet check flush mechanism and add cleaning chemicals if needed. Re-stock restroom supplies. Sweep and mop the bus floor starting from the restroom and working forward. Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job employee is frequently required to stand and walk bend or stoop reach with arms and use hands to finger handle or grasp objects and controls. Occasionally required to climb and to lift or move up to 30 pounds and push pull up to 50 pounds.Work Environment Regularly exposed to fumes or airborne particles (emissions). Subjected to human waste dust dirt and grease conditions. Work around moving motorcoaches. The noise level in the work environment is usually very loud. QualificationsTo perform the job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactory. Must be able to learn and understand the use of special equipment such as the backpack vacuum and shampoo equipment.
