We seek applicants who can demonstrate experience working with individuals from diverse backgrounds and who will contribute to our mission vision and core values.About the ProgramsCoos Crisis Resolution Center (set. 2003) is a 6-bed licensed short-term Residential Treatment Facility providing crisis resolution services and an alternative to emergency short-term psychiatric hospitalization for those patients whose illness allows them to be treated in a residential setting. This program is located in a residential neighborhood and yet is situated almost directly across from Bay Area Hospital and conveniently close to other community services.Driftwood Lodge RTF is a beautiful 8-bed mental health Residential Treatment Facility converted from an old fishing lodge with ocean views. Driftwood Lodge is located in Gold Beach Oregon at the mouth of the famous Rogue River on the beautiful Southern Oregon coast.Position DetailsWe have multiple openings for the Residential Associate position at our facilites throughout the Oregon Coast. If you have experience working as a Direct Support Professional (DSP) Residential Assistant (RA) Residential Counselor Skills Trainer or Caregiving for a client experiencing severe mental illness then this position might be a good fit for you. We are also looking to add individuals to our On Call Pool. On Call staff also have first priority for any internal positions that allow more hours or a promotional opportunity. You will have an opportunity to specify your availability on our online application. Work Schedules Days Hours may vary and will likely include weekend & NOC shiftsThis position requires that applicants have the ability to work as a member of a direct care team serving adults with severe and persistent mental illness to support the development of life skills and therapeutic interventions perform housekeeping and meal preparation medication administration and keep accurate clinical documentation. In addition you will receive crisis de-escalation training which requires performing various physical hands-on maneuvers and techniques.QualificationsMUST be QMHA Certified through Mental Health & Addictions Certification Board of Oregon (MHACBO) -OR- MEET eligibility qualifications to register with MHACBOState of Oregon QMHA credentials criteria a) Bachelor s degree in Behavioral Science Psychology Counseling Social Work or Human Development b) OR minimum 6 000 HOURS verifiable mental health experience working with Severe Persistent Mental Illness population in a supervised social service setting c) OR equivalent combination of behavioral science education in addition to satisfactory supplemental mental health experience and trainingSuccessful applicants MUST have a valid Oregon driver s license maintain a safe driving record and the ability to pass a DHS criminal background check.Pay & BenefitsStarting at 15.00 per hour DOE and QMHA credentials.
