Position CookTerms of employment Full-time PermanentWage 16 per hourHours 30 - 40 hours per weekBenefits 4% vacation pay Job Duties Prepare and cook Japanese dishes including sashimi sushi and rolls Set staff work schedule and supervise kitchen helpers Ensure food service and quality meet the standards Keep records and accounts of food supplies and equipment Monitor stock of supplies ingredients and place orders when there are shortages Keep a sanitized and orderly environment in the kitchen Plan menus and estimate food requirements and costs May hire staff and train them in preparation and cooking of food Manage kitchen operations Educational Requirements Completion of Secondary school Experience Requirements 2 3 years of commercial cooking experience are required.
