Dev Deepawali The Festival of Light Faith and Divinity

An extension of the biggest Hindu festival Diwali Dev Deepawali is a beautiful festival in India that falls on the full moon of the Hindu month of Kartika which is during October and November. Celebrated at the ghats of the holy river Ganga in Varanasi Uttar Pradesh the vibrant festival takes place fifteen days after Diwali. On this auspicious day a large number of devotees gather to perform rituals such as Kartik Snan and Deep Daan which holds the significance of warding off negativity from life.The focal point of the festival is Varanasi however Dev Diwali in Maharashtra and Kashi are also quite popular.
