Job Summary Assists mechanics with repairs and maintains heavy equipment at our transfer station and forklifts at our facility.Shift This is a rotating shiftII. Essential Duties and Responsibilities To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other minor duties may be assigned. Assists Lead mechanic with Major Correctives. Performs PM services on heavy equipment. Performs tire changes. Cleans work area tools and equipment. Performs other duties as assigned Pick up parts from suppliers Assist with breakdowns at transfer station across the GTAIII. Supervisory Responsibilities This job has no supervisory duties.IV. Qualifications The requirements listed below are representative of the qualifications necessary to perform the job.A. Education and Experience 4th or 5thth year Apprentice in the Heavy Duty Technician (421A) TradeB. Certificates Licenses Registrations or Other Requirements M ust be at least 18 years of age or older. Successfully complete pre-employment drug screen physical and background check which will include previous employment check and criminal history. Legally entitled to work in Canada with a valid SIN. Ability to perform physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodations.C. Other Knowledge Skills or Abilities Required NoneV.
